New distribution point - External hard drive

I work at a company where we have System Center Configuration Manager 2007 and I have a question regardning Distributions Points.

Environment/Information:
We have one virutal SCCM server in Stockholm which is the primary site.
We have one physical SCCM server in Helsinki which is the secondary site.

Recently we got disk space issues on the physical sccm server and the affected disk is a distribution point. To solve the disk space issue we bought an external hard drive which we have plugged in to the server.

My question now is, can I make this new disk as a distribution point and still have the other disk also active as a DP? With other words, can I have two DP's on the same site server? If so, how can I assign this new disk as a DP?

I tried to create a new role on the site system but "Distribution Point" is not available in "Available roles".

Any advise is welcome!
